At this point, the sizes of current units are identified and then specific tasks and objectives assigned to the teams and individual employees. This stage is crucial in that it helps outline challenges and opportunities in fitting together the organizational design. Once the management has identified the issues affecting them and assigned roles to different groups and individuals, the next stage is the transition and the implementation of the set plans. During the transition level, the organization identifies approaches necessary to the implementation of the plan. The management seeks to identify activities like the leadership training, staffing policies, and employee communication. Once the transition planning is achieved, the organization sequences the plan on a primary implementation timeline. Here the organization determines what needs to be done, by who, and when it should be completed. The management identifies employee empowerment needs and plans for the best approach to achieve them. The organization also develops a set of expectable employee roles and behaviors. At this point, skills are determined according to their levels of advancement. Training is then provided depending on the needs of individual employees to acquire the required skills. The employees are also guided on the best approaches so as to work mutually in the attainment of the organizational goals The management assesses the achieved performance against the expected goals and scorecards. The organization seeks to identify the changes arising from the new process and areas that need extra considerations. Once the organization has identified these sectors, then adjustments are made to the design. An example of an effective organization design process can be defined in the case of Toyota.
